What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is a treatment using scents from pure essential oils, derived from plant extracts. They are valued for their therapeutic properties and can be used to treat all systems of the body, disturbances of the mind, and imbalances of the emotions. The oils can be administered in a number of different ways, but massage is the most fundamental form of therapy. The medicinal properties of the oils and the nurturing power of touch combine to form a potent healing treatment.

What can I expect during a treatment?
An appointment for a full body massage is for one and a half hours.
A soothing back massage is the next best thing, an appointment lasting one hour.
For people with hectic lifestyles, I can do a shorter treatment of 30 minutes, concentrating on specific problem areas.
A consultation is taken so that oils can be chosen to match the client's needs. This is followed by a deep, relaxing massage.
How many sessions are necessary?
The number of treatments required depends on the nature of the problem, the length of time you have had it, and how fast you heal.

What can happen during a treatment?
The treatment is carried out seated. The massage involves a range of different movements including application of deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas. It also involves the gentle stimulation of pressure points on the face.
The appointment lasts up to one hour.
The treatment can be carried out with or without oils.
How many sessions are necessary?
As part of a stress management programme, Indian Head Massage should ideally be carried out once a week. However, less often is perfectly acceptable.

What happens during a treatment?

The therapist places their hands in a sequence of positions on, or just above the body. Healing energy is transferred from the giver to correct energy imbalances in the receiver. What happens during a treatment?
An all-natural candle is placed in the ear while you relax. The candle draws out any impurities to the surface where they may be gently removed. The candles also help to equalise the pressure in the head, making the therapy suitable for many conditions. The treatment concludes with a facial massage.
